Where FinSpry's data comes from, and how we process it

All data shown on FinSpry is for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon to make trading or investing decisions. We are committed to providing accurate, high-quality data and work with enterprise-grade providers to do so. If you notice a discrepancy, please report it. For full accuracy and liability terms, see our Data Disclaimer.

Stocks covered

FinSpry covers 20,000+ tradable symbols — stocks and ETFs listed on the major U.S. exchanges (NASDAQ, NYSE, CBOE, and OTC Markets). Coverage is currently U.S.-only, with new securities added on an ongoing basis.

How we source each dataset

Fundamentals & historical financials

Income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, ratios, and other fundamental data are sourced from S&P Global Market Intelligence, which provides global coverage and typically updates within hours after each earnings release, and from Fiscal AI, which covers the U.S., Canada, and Europe and updates within minutes. Additional financial data is available through Fiscal AI, Nasdaq Data Link, and Financial Modeling Prep.

Stock prices

Real-time U.S. stock prices are provided by CBOE (enterprise-grade market data). Delayed consensus pricing — including opening and closing prices — comes from Nasdaq UTP with a 15-minute delay. Timestamps indicate the last update time in U.S. Eastern Time.

Price targets, analyst estimates & forecasts

Consensus analyst ratings, price targets, and forecasts are provided by S&P Global, aggregating the opinions of Wall Street analysts. Individual analyst ratings — along with analyst accuracy metrics and average returns — are provided by TipRanks. These are third-party forecasts, not FinSpry's recommendations, and may be inaccurate or become outdated.

ETF holdings

ETF holdings, allocations, and related fund data are sourced primarily from Finnhub, with Financial Modeling Prep used as an alternative source. Holdings reflect the most recently disclosed portfolio rather than intraday positions.

Dividends

Historical dividend data is sourced from S&P Global. Dividend metrics — including yield, growth rates, payout frequency, and others — are calculated by FinSpry from this historical record and are estimates, not guarantees of future payments.

Corporate actions

Corporate actions such as stock splits are sourced from Nasdaq Data Link via the Sharadar SF1 dataset, and are applied to historical prices and share counts so that per-share figures remain consistent over time.

Earnings call transcripts

Earnings call transcripts are provided by Quartr and are typically available within minutes to hours after an earnings call takes place.

Metrics we calculate ourselves

Many of the metrics on FinSpry are not taken from a provider but computed by FinSpry from the underlying financial data using standard formulas — valuation ratios (P/E, P/B, EV/EBITDA), profitability and return ratios (ROE, ROA, margins), liquidity and leverage ratios, and dividend metrics. Each formula is documented in our financial glossary, so you can see exactly how any figure is derived. Because methodologies differ between sources, our calculated values may vary slightly from other websites.

Quality control

Each stock and ETF added to FinSpry undergoes human review to verify its data. We run regular automated scans and manual spot checks across thousands of securities to catch inaccuracies, and we continuously gather data on new listings, delistings, symbol changes, and M&A events. Despite these efforts, it is impossible to maintain 100% accuracy across every security, and errors can occur.

Report a data issue

If you spot an inaccuracy, missing data, or a security we don't yet cover, please let us know — we investigate all reports and work with our providers to resolve them. See our Data Disclaimer for full terms on data accuracy and use.
